Mr Zafar Momin is an Independent Director of the Manager.
After moving here from the United States, Mr Momin has been based in Singapore for the past 18 years. Earlier, Mr Momin was a Partner and Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Singapore and Dubai/Abu Dhabi offices. Mr Momin led BCG's Industrial Goods Practice in Asia and subsequently became focused on establishing BCG's presence in the Middle East and its offices in the UAE.
Prior to BCG, Mr Momin was also a Partner and Director with A. T. Kearney, a global consultancy, and the head of its Asian Automotive Practice. In his various consulting roles, Mr Momin has worked closely with the leaders of major companies and governments, to help them in developing and implementing their strategies for growth and profitability, competing via excellence in operations management and managing via excellence in organizational management and corporate governance.
After 2007, Mr Momin was an Executive Vice-President at Alghanim Industries, with multi-faceted executive roles and responsibilities at one of the longest established and most successful conglomerates in the Gulf region. In the early part of his career, Mr Momin worked in various technical and management roles with General Motors and the United Technologies Corporation in the United States and Asia respectively.
Since 2009, Mr Momin has been lecturing at the MBA Program of the Nanyang Business School at Nanyang Technological University.
Mr Momin has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and Pune University.
