Mr Zafar Momin is an Independent Director of the Manager.
Since 2009, Mr Momin has been managing his own investment fund and lecturing part-time at the MBA programme of the Nanyang Business School at Nanyang Technological University. He also sits on the Board for the Centre for Non-Profit Leadership which is focused on building and enhancing the leadership capacity of non-profit organisations in Singapore.
Mr Momin was a Partner and Director with A. T. Kearney, a global management consultancy, heading its Asian Automotive Practice. He subsequently joined Boston Consulting Group (“BCG”) as its Partner and Managing Director in the Singapore and Dubai/Abu Dhabi offices where he led BCG’s Industrial Goods Practice in Asia and thereafter became focused on establishing BCG’s presence in the Middle East and its offices in the UAE. Mr Momin also held multi-faceted executive roles and responsibilities as the Executive Vice-President at Alghanim Industries, which is one of the longest established and successful multi-billion dollar conglomerates in the Gulf region.
In his various consulting roles, Mr Momin has worked closely with the leaders of major companies and governments, to help them in developing and implementing their strategies for growth and profitability, competing via excellence in operations management and managing via excellence in organisational management and corporate governance.
Mr Momin holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and Pune University.
