Mr Chua Tiow Chye is a Director of the Manager. He is concurrently the Chief Investment Officer of the Sponsor.
Prior to joining the Sponsor in October 2002, Mr Chua was the Managing Director of Vision Century Corporation Ltd., a company which is listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong with extensive businesses in business parks management and development, residential and commercial property development, as well as information technology, e-infrastructure and educational services in Hong Kong and China. Before joining Vision Century Corporation Ltd, he was with Ascendas Pte Ltd and its predecessor, JTC International Pte Ltd, for 8 years from 1993 to 2001 where his last position was Executive Vice President. At Ascendas, Mr Chua's responsibilities included overseeing and managing industrial and business park developments and investments across the Asia-Pacific region, including China, India, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Between 1992 to 1993, Mr. Chua was Senior Manager (Finance & Planning) at Singapore Food Industries Pte. Ltd., and was Assistant Vice President for Malaysian loans and credit at United Overseas Bank Ltd between 1989 to 1992. he started his career as an Executive Planner involved in the long-term and strategic land use planning for Singapore at the Planning Department of the Ministry of National Development from 1984 to 1989.
Mr Chua holds a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning (First Class Honours) degree from the University of Queensland, Australia under a Colombo Plan scholarship. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom.
