Mr Quek Sze Kheng is the joint head of the New Markets team, which focuses on sourcing and evaluating suitable assets and opportunities in markets in which MapletreeLog does not have a presence. He is also the head of the Vietnam team. His previous role was being head of the Investment team. Prior to that, he was General Manager of China, and was responsible for sourcing and evaluating suitable assets in China to be included in MapletreeLog’s property portfolio as well as managing its existing assets. Before the posting to China, he sourced and acquired properties in Singapore and Hong Kong for MapletreeLog.
Prior to joining the Manager, Mr Quek was Senior Business Development Manager in Ascendas Land (Singapore) Pte Ltd. In that role, he was in charge of assessing and evaluating potential acquisitions of properties as well as negotiating and structuring build-to-suit (BTS) deals and development parks in Singapore, China and the Philippines. Prior to this, he was with Jurong International where his last role was that of Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Suzhou Industrial Park, China. Mr Quek started his career in the Land and Estates Organisation of the Ministry of Defence, Singapore as Contract Manager, handling contract administration, tender and budgeting for camp development.
Mr Quek obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (Building) with Honours (Second Upper) from the National University of Singapore. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree (Accounting) from Nanyang Technology University, Singapore.
